Want to learn how to Olympic Weightlift but don’t know where to start?  Look no further!

In this 4-week beginner program, we will cover the technique for the snatch along with the clean and jerk.  We will start with the fundamentals of warming up and stretching to best prepare for these lifts. We will then break down the movement and teach you how to perform them safely and efficiently.  This program is suitable for beginners, or people looking to increase their technique and skill in Olympic lifts.


Week 1: Learning how to warm up and stretch to prepare for the below lifts.

Week 2-4: Tuesdays – Clean and Jerks | Thursdays – Snatches

To secure your place in this program, payment is due at the time of registration.  If you are unable to make a full payment at the time of registration, please contact our Membership Services department by calling 403-942-5757 or by email us at [email protected].


In order to receive member pricing, the membership must remain in effect for the duration of the program.  Should the participant cancel their membership prior to the end of the program, the YMCA of Lethbridge requires the participant to pay the difference between the member and the non-member pricing to continue in the program


Cancellation Policy: In order to receive a full refund, the YMCA of Lethbridge requires cancellations to be made at least 7 days prior to the program start date. Should the participant cancel within the week before the start date, cancellations will be prorated. Prorating is depending on time before program start date.
