Step 2 Programs, starting March 8th.
The YMCA of Lethbridge is pleased to announce Step 2 opening of Low-Intensity Health, Fitness, and Aquatics and One-on-One Training on March 8, 2021. We will be operating under Alberta Health Service’s Step 2 guidelines which requires fitness and recreation activities to be low intensity, unless in a one-on-one training or coaching session.
Face coverings are required in all indoor public spaces including while participating in Fitness Centre, Fitness Classes, and Gymnasium activities. Masks will be provided upon request. One-on-one training programs and Aquatic Centre activities do not require face coverings.

*In line with AHS Guidelines, low intensity means anything that does not make you breathe heavily or sweat excessively. We like to use the ‘talk test’. If you are able to speak while working out this would be considered low intensity. Note that we have limited the speed of treadmills to a walking pace, and certain equipment such as tires, ropes and rowers will be unavailable.
Tuesday March 30th, at 6:00pm.

LICENSED CHILD CARE
Developed in 2001 by a team of child care experts at the YMCA of Greater Toronto, our YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum prepares children ages 0-6 for school and life-long achievement by nurturing their curiosity and development in the most natural way possible…through play!
An integral part of all licensed YMCA early learning child care across Canada since 2007, YMCA Playing to Learn aligns with all provincial early learning frameworks adopted to date and is based on research and evidence that shows play is the most effective way that children learn and gain new skills.
